Program putovanja

Arrival to Zagreb International Airport. After the transfer to the hotel you will have some free time to explore the capital of Croatia before going out to a local restaurant for a welcome dinner 

After breakfast we will go for a walk around Zagreb. Find out why people in Zagreb hear Gric cannon each day at noon and discover the hidden courtyards of old town. Enliven the stories from ancient times such as the struggle of Gradec and the Capitol, or the story of the Golden Bull. Feel everyday Zagreb on Dolac market while you sense a scent of more than one hundred kinds of fresh fruits and vegetables. When you are staying in Zagreb, you don't want to miss this opportunity to visit the beautiful and charming small town of Samobor. Walk along its beautiful streets and check out it most popular sites and learn about its history. Rest of the day is free. Dinner in hotel 

Today we will go to the North of Croatia. We will take a trip to the baroque city of Varaždin, which has been the capital of the country, with its churches and palaces in baroque style, Varaždin has a unique baroque atmosphere. After the walking tour we will visit one family farm and taste the local delicacies before heading back to the hotel for our final night in Zagreb. Dinner in hotel. 

Today we are leaving Zagreb and heading to the northern coast of Croatia. On the way we will visit Plitvice Lakes. Connected by waterfalls, circled by forest and criss-crossed with wooden-bridges, Plitvice Lakes are a nature lover's dream! We take you to one of the most beautiful national parks which was confirmed by UNESCO when it was entered onto their world heritage list. Nature has created 16 spectacular lakes, connected by stunning waterfalls and cascades. After the walk around the lakes we continue to the charming small resort – Opatija. 

Today we will go for a guided tour of Opatija, the “old lady” of Croatian tourism. We will enjoy a walk in the morning, followed by a delicious lunch in a local restaurant. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy. 

We start our day with the visit to Motovun, a beautiful small medieval town in central Istria. Prepare your tastebuds for an exclusive truffle tasting today as we will meet with a local family and sample one of Istrian’s tastiest treasures. Our next stop is Rovinj, where we stroll along historic streets, soaking up the atmosphere of this sleepy coastal town. Wander the labyrinth of cobbled streets before we meet with unique art galleries and the Basilica of St. Euphemia. 

Today we will visit Pula. Its most famous attraction, the well preserved Roman amphitheatre, is one of the most famous sights in the whole of Croatia. After Pula we will be heading to the beautiful national park Brijuni. The national park, many years served as summer residency for the former Yugoslavian president, Marshall Tito. During the years he welcomed Kings, presidents, famous actors and businessmen on the Islands. Return to Opatija. Dinner. 

Today we are driving to Slovenia. We will first discover underground world of Postojna Cave, most popular karst cave in the world. Guided tour will consist of a ride by electrical train and followed by a walk through beautiful passages and chambers with spectacular drop stones, pillars, limestone curtains and other unforgettable forms. After the visit we are driving to the charming capital Ljubljana for our walking tour. The old city centre has a unique architectural appearance, particularly due a felicitous combination of Baroque and Art Nouveau architecture and masterful creations by the 20th century architect Jože Plečnik. 

We will be exploring Northern Slovenia today. From Ljubljana to the Alpine region below the Julian Alps, you will reach Bled, the magnificent Alpine resort with the only true island in Slovenia. For centuries Bled has been the symbol of natural beauty and home to fairy tales. Ascend the old 12th- century castle, perched on top of a steep cliff with spectacular views of the lake, the famous Bled island and the surrounding peaks. The castle is not only home to fairy tale weddings, cultural events and important protocol meetings, but also a museum of manual printing and a wine cellar. A boat ride with ‘Pletna’ – traditional boat made by local, is among the must-do things when visiting Bled. Not only because of the authentic boat experience, but a true journey back in time. Standing paddlers will take you to the island with 99 stone steps on the way to the Assumption of Mary church and the fortune bell. Make sure not to miss the Bled cream cake, the notorious local dessert famous all around Slovenia, before leaving town and going back to Ljubljana for some free time in the afternoon. Today we will go to the local restaurant for our farewell dinner. 


 

Enjoy breakfast before you transfer to Venice for your flight back home.
